I expect LSU to be run heavy. Sure they will definitely pass enough (im guessing 30-32 times per game), but they will carry the ball 40+ times a game. LSU hasn't done anywhere near that since 2018, and that season is the last time we have even sniffed having a top 25 defense (26th ranked that year). Also, if you remove the TAMU 7 OT BS game, LSU was the #10 defense in the country. Outside of the 7 OT bullcrap, LSU was a top 10 defense the last time they carried the ball 40+ times a game. So I'd like to see Kaleb Jackson get 15 carries, Emery and Williams average about 8-10 carries per game, and Durham get 5+ touches per game. Kelly was talking about featuring the OL, and Sloan showed that they will run different rushing plays than they did last year. Look, I'll take 3100 pass yards and 28 TD passes from Nuss in the regular season, if we can get Kaleb Jackson to 1200 yards, Williams and Emery combine for 1200-1400 yards, then see Durham slip in 400 yards.

I know T Bob is still traumatized from Nick Saban, but Bama is worse at several spots this year, including WR and especially secondary. LSU can, and will, throw all over Bama. It's like he forgets that 2 years ago, Kelly came in with a ducktapped team and beat Bama. Bama was headed to the SECCG without us winning. I expect LSU to go 10-2 or better. I expect a playoff berth. I will be okay with 9-3, but disappointed.

OU and Texas will have a rude awakening dealing with the brutal SEC gauntlet.

If Dominick McKinley is good enough to start right off the bat, then LSU's defense will be much improved over last year . I expect the DEs to play better under Peoples, the linebacker play overall to be significantly better and for Harold Perkins to play a lot better this upcoming season. The LSU safeties should also play a lot better relative to last year, and the cornerbacks should overall be better with Corey Raymond back in the mold. The offense with the best OL in the country will be awesome with the new running game and should be very hard to stop, and then the TEs and WRs with Nuss at the helm should all be awesome. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Nuss pass for 50 to 60 more yards a game than Daniels did and the new and improved running game should also put us close to what Daniels did last season. In fact, I think LSU's offense overall has a chance to be very close to last year's offense and with a little luck, a chance to even be slightly better. Nonetheless, I think its going to hinge on the defense more than anything else and my biggest question is what kind of impact can Dominick McKinley make on this team.

I see the offense being top 10 nationally and the defense will have to be top 50 imo to make it to the CFP and be competitive. Just making the CFP and losing the first game is just like not making it imo. I want to see a game 1 WIN to set the tone for the rest of the season.

LSU’s offense is built just like Georgia’s but with better receivers and as far as this year goes, better tight ends and an overall better o line. We will torch teams when they realize they are going to have to stack the box.

Bottom line is that we can’t lose all the tough games. They’ll have to win some of those.

Winning the NON - CONFERENCE season opener will be key.

85% of that dominant offensive line will be headed off to the NFL after this season. If they don’t make it to the playoffs this season, realistically I don’t see them making it there for another 2 -3 seasons.

They couldn't wait for Texas to have one good season, so they could overrate the hell out of them on everything. How can LSU have honorable mention INCLUDING THE TEs, but Texas is #3? If anything LSU and Oklahoma should he on this list. LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, and Mizzu are in the top 5 of the SEC.

Kylan Billiot may be a true freshman, but make no mistake, he could & probably will see some sort of playing time. I’m more than sure he won’t be a starter, but look for him to be on the field at some point. He’s that good.

Zavion Thomas. Dude runs s a 4.3 and had over 500 yards in Zac Arnett awful offense.

Ochsendorf has a more direct path to playing time than any other newcomer. If he's as good as he was at LaTech, he's going to be a huge deal.

Let it go. This kid and his mom want that money. It's a waste of time. I don't care about "coming in 2nd just in case of the portal". This is a guy who supposedly loved LSU, loved Odell Beckham, loved LSU enough to commit, has seen two LSU WRs go in the first round, has seen the WR coach that either coached and/or recruited 4 WRs that went in the top 2 rounds (3 in the first round) of the NFL draft this year......and still picked Texas.

Not having OU in the Top 5 on this list is laughable!! The WR room is undoubtedly one of the deepest in the country!

I think we're going to see totally different receivers than what is projected as lsu starters as the season progresses. Tight end will remain the same.

Don’t count on Emery for any bowl games unless CFP &/or NCG. He learned that his grass wasn’t greener on other side of fence, let alone down the road.

Excited to see what CJ can do in the SEC

It is Quinn Ewers. The media loves him. He is good but not the most consistent QB, not the healthiest QB. He had one outstanding game and because he led Texas over Bama he is considered special. I personally think he is a poser and he will have the opportunity to prove me wrong this year. It is like when a QB gets a high rating that makes you scratch your head. As you look into it the truth is he has a highly rated O-line. It is one of the reasons why I don't understand why Nuss isn't rated higher. I guess they think he is going to throw 20 ints this year.

Chris Hilton is going to pump the Tigers to #1. Dude runs a 4.2 and Nuss loves him. He had 60 yards and a Tuddy and huge catch on the game winning drive and only played half the bowl game. A healthy Hilton is unstoppable.

Nuss already knows how to throw accurately with anticipation and leverage downfield. It's the hard part of playing QB. It's why he puts up points and numbers when he plays. Nuss will be S Tier.
